i'm with you munson. a long time ago, we created hero's as sources of inspiration and media fed off of the stories of the inspired. these days somebody had the 'grand' idea that if you then tear them down you got more than twice the story. these are the tactics of weak and uncreative minds wrapped in the trappings of self-righteousness.

the bottom line is that the people in the media (that includes former players) that's keeping the ped discussions going are trying to manipulate you. they really don't enjoy the game and their goal is to annoy you for wanting to enjoy the game. these jokers read the message boards and blog posts and they know that there are 100's of folks out there that could do their jobs in a heartbeat...they aren't very special or unique. what's special and unique is the incredible talent on the field...they resent that.

so, you may ask...who's my hero? that's easy, the guy who invented the MUTE button.

My problem is he is still lying and or just telling half truths... my main point on Giambi is that he didn't lie... people hate being lied to and right now Big Mac is still lying.

I've worked in the media for a while and still do trust me this whole statement couldn't be farther from the truth... 95% of the time (except on some news stations like Fox) there is no hidden agenda and this is especially true in sports. We really only care about ratings and we give the people what they want, if you dont like it don't watch, don't read it, and don't listen to it. The problem is people are intrigued for different reasons and these kind of stories equal ratings. There are too many people that make decisions for there to be one master mind sitting there trying to control anything. There is no manipulation just different opinions...

so the players and not the media are keeping the steroids issue on the front page?
