Official Yankees Release on Mariano Rivera Surgery

Here's the release:

RHP Mariano Rivera will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday, October 7. The procedure will be performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Well, here's to hoping he comes back next year even better than ever, if that's even possible. Looking on the bright side, at least he was able to get his surgery done earlier due to the Yankees early season departure...although that's really reaching for a positive.
